On Wednesday September 16th, Pima County Supervisors Ally Miller (R-District 1) and Ray Carroll (R-District 4) will take to the airwaves and debate the issue of the upcoming Pima County Bond election. The debate will be hosted by AM-1030 KVOI “The Voice” leading into exclusive all-day coverage of the second GOP debates.
4Tucson at 4, a local show that airs weekdays at 4 on KVOI, will move to 1pm following the Buckmaster Show. Supervisors Miller and Carroll will be in-studio for the full hour. 4Tucson at 4 host Mike Shaw will moderate the formatted debate, insuring that the discussion is informative to the voter and fair to both sides.
General Manager Doug Martin, who was instrumental in putting the debate together said “Our listeners want to know about the bonds and the pros and cons. We are honored to have Supervisors Ray Carroll and Ally Miller debate the bonds and why they should or shouldn’t pass. We are excited to offer this exclusive debate so that our community can be informed about the bonds.”
Immediately following the local debate KVOI will give radio listeners the opportunity to hear the under card and the main GOP debate, as well as pre and post debate coverage hosted by panelist Hugh Hewitt of SRN and Guy Benson of Townhall.com. Coverage will begin at 2pm and extend through 9pm.
